WALT: write a recount about a time when you had to eat something that you didn’t want to!
in writing for the past three days we have been writing a recount on when we had to eat something we didn't want to. But I couldn't think of ANYTHING to write about so Miss Keys said I can make something up. So its not really a recount but I wrote it like one. the highlighting means:
red=dialogue
orange=sound effects
yellow-past tense words.
green= thoughts and feelings
so here is my story. Enjoy

“Oh no, I clogged the toilet” I muttered trying to flush them down.
It all started when mum called us for dinner. I raced to the table and sat there eagerly waiting for mum to dish up the food. My smile slipped from my face as mum slid beans on my plate. I absolutely HATE beans. I use to like them when I was little but my taste buds changed. I made a grossed out face which mum spotted. “ you have to eat them Ammalina” she said passing out beans to everyone else. I stared at my plate in horror and glanced around to see if anyone was watching. I swiftly grabbed them and stuffed them into my pocket. “As smooth as a ninja” i thought smiling.
I finished off my dinner and snuck into the bathroom. I locked the door and walked over toilet. I emptied my pockets out and flushed the toilet. Nothing. “What's happening” I thought. I tried it again but the beans didn't go away. Then the water started rising and the toilet over flowed. “Uhhh” i said backing away. Mum knocked out the door “is everything ok in there?” she called out. “No” i answered. “I'm gonna come in, unlock the door” mum said nocking. “ um just a sec” I murmured. Ew I had to  get the beans out fast. I scrunched up my nose and plumaged my hand into the toilet. “Ew ew ew” i thought gagging. I chucked the beans in the bin and cover them with some toilet paper. I Looked at the water all over the floor and quickly unlocked the door. Mum barged in and looked at the mess on the floor and immediately started interrogating me.”what did you do?, why is it clogged, how did you do it?. Was it you who did it?” I thought mum would tell me off for telling the truth so I kept lying to her.
Once Mum had investigated the toilet she called a plumber. He came round as quick as he could and started working on the toilet.It took him only about ten minutes to find out what happened. He came out holding a single bean. “This is what was causing it.” I saw mum glance at me so I took off to my room. Then a herd the plumber leave and the flip flop of my mums jandles down the hall way. I tried to hide but I was too late. My Mum came walking in holding the wooden spoon. “ Im dead” I thought.

What Are Volcanoes?-My Amazing Explanation Writing!

WALT: Write an explanation using the correct structure.

What are volcanos?

A volcano is an opening in either a mountain or a ground which allows hot rock, ash, smoke, gases
and lava to breakout from below the surface through a pipe-like outlet called a vent. These eruptions
form a cone-shaped land form made of these materials. Volcanoes are really dangerous and hot when
they erupt and could kill or badly injure you. The gases that come out of the volcano can be really
dangerous for your lungs.

What are the parts to a volcano?

There are lots of parts to a volcano. The most important one is the magma chamber, It is located under
the earth's surface and this is where all the magma and gasses are stored. Next there is the earth crust
. The mountain is formed by the volcanoes old eruptions which is lava and ash. Going up through the hil
l is the pipe called the vent, which the lava comes up through. At the top of the hill there is the crater.

What is the difference between Lava and Magma?

Magma is made up of melted rocks and it is stored under the earth's crust in the magma chamber.
Lava is magma that reaches the surface of the earth through the vent.

How do volcanoes erupt?

The gas particles in the magma start to form bubbles and as the bubbles rise they start to expand.
Soon the bubble are to strong for the surrounding rock and the rocks fractures, allowing the magma
to get to the surface. Once at the surface the lava runs down the side of the hill, flowing quite fast, and
a big ash cloud forming over the hill.

I really liked writing this text but it was a bit hard because I didn't really know that much about volcanoes.

My Amazing writing!!!!!!!!!!

WALT: Write an explanation about how an object works.
in writing we were learning how to write explanation about how an object works. we got to chose an object from nine things. I chose the wheelbarrow. Her is my finished work

How does it work? A Wheelbarrow.

Firstly, the wheelbarrow was a stand or the legs. It has two them near the back of the wheelbarrow so then you can put it down and it won’t fall backwards.

Secondly, the wheelbarrow has a wheel so you can move it around easily. It make is so you can move dirt and stuff from place to place without having to carry it and hurt your arms.

Thirdly, it has two handles that you hold while you are carrying the wheelbarrow.

Lastly, you have the tray thing which is the main part of the wheelbarrow. The tray is for you to put the stuff in while you move it around.

Playing around with sumo paint

at cybersmart we got to play around with sumo Paint. Which is a thing where you can drawing basically anything. there is a whole lot of tools to use to make it look cool. I sort of got the hang of it. Here Are my drawings.

Why cats are better than dogs.

For writing ,when some of our class was doing first aid, we got to do a free choice persuasive writing. We got to pick what every we want to write about. I chose Cat are better than dogs because i've always been I cat person but lots of my friends like dogs better. So here is my writing.

I strongly believe that cats are better than dogs because cats are smaller so you can cuddle them more easily, you don’t have to walk them, you don’t have to pick up their Poop and you can leave them alone for more time than dogs.

Firstly, cats are easier to cuddle because they smaller. Cats are lighter and tiny so it is much more easy to sleep than having a big dog stretched out on your bed.  Cats are better than dogs because they are sooooo much fluffier than Dogs.

Secondly, cats don’t need to be walked. Which is so much better because dogs need to be walked everyday, even when its raining. But to exercise a cat all you need to do is find a toy are start chucking it everywhere and your cat will race after it.

Thirdly, Cats are way better because you don’t have to pick up their stinky poo. Dogs you have to potty train so they don't pee on the floor but cats go outside. Also Cats sleep a lot so you don’t have to worry about leaving them home alone. Did you know cats sleep for around 16 hours  day. They are very independent so basically all cats need from you is food and your love.

So that is all the reasons way I think cats are way better than dogs. They are Better to cuddle,you don't have to walk them,  you don't have to pick up they poop And you can leave them alone.

In Cybersmart we got to have a play around with a thing called WeVideo. WeVideo is a thing were you can edit or create videos. Here is my video. Make sure you have volume.😂😂

My Persuasive Ad

In writing we had to make an Ad for a product. We could choose out of a car, a pair of shoes, a circus or a smoothie. We did a draft then edited it. Then we got to make a google drawing. we had to make it bright and colourful.
