Heroes and villains Literacy!

W.A.L.T:Add pictures (or names if you can’t find pictures) of at least 10 of your heroes.
For literacy on Tuesday we had to find photos of our "heroes/idols" and put them on a google drawing. Here's mine:


I found it really easy to think of all these people because i look up to them so much. the people there are:

food Literacy!!!

For literacy on Tuesday, we had to make posters about a food from Japan. We had to do it from Japan because they are the country we picked from the rugby world cup. I picked rice because its really big in Japan. We had to include some facts about it on the poster. here is mine:

I think i did pretty good with setting it out and stuff but I probably should of put a bit more info, but i didnt really have time.

Circumference and Diameter stuff!

WALT: investigate the pattern between a circular object's circumference and its diameter.
For maths we have been learning about Circumference and Diameter! what we did was, we wrapped string around a circular object then measured the length of string to find the circumference. then we stretched the string from one edge to another to find the diameter. We continued this for a variety of objects and recorded them on a Google Sheet. then we had to calculate the circumference divided by the diameter. the answer should add up to 3.14... ,or something close to that, that is pi.
here is some stuff I measured and the results:

I was away for the first season so I was very confused at the start but by the end i was really getting and enjoying do it. I think I could maybe measured some bigger objects but I think I did okay.
what could i do better next time? did you learn anything? If you did this would you find it interesting?

my amazing poetry!!

For around two weeks now, we were looking at poetry, in reading and writing. We had to look at a slide and complete the activities to do with poetry. here's my slide:

I think I set my slide up pretty well with the space i had but I think I could of made the font a bit bigger.
do you think I set it out good? Do you think I wrote a good Diamante poem?

my personal logo design

walt; make a logo that says something about you.
so in reading we were coming up with a logo for our cluster but for a practice we had to make one for ourselves. for mine I had no clue what to do so it took me a while to figure out what to do :)

on the last slide was the logo that I choose for my final product. I made this logo because 'as' is my initials and the words inside the letters is some things that I like. I put the flowers in becaus ei use to really like gardening and I black and white because they are great colours ;)

please comment what you think of my final logo and what i could imporve on it :D

Bully free Slogn

In inquiry we have been working on bully free slogans for bully free week. We had to think up a slogan and  design a poster on google drawings. My slogan is a thing I saw in the internet but I changed up the words a bit and coloured it and stuff. All the things on my google drawing I made so I wont get copyrighted ;)
 
I found it hard finding good fonts and clour that wrok well together but I think I did a pretty good job. I also found it hard thinking up a slogan so I just searched "bully free slogans" and I found this one but in different works and I was like "that sound really great" so  did it :)

Do yo think it's easy to read? Is there enough colour? Please comment what you think of it.

My amazing reading

In reading we have been reading a school journal and doing activities for it. the journal stories we read was: Meme and Me, Captain cook, Ngā Tātarakihi o Parihaka and man and sea. The activties are some questions that you have to read the story to answer and me have to make a new dust cover for the story. We had to put all of the finished activities that we did into a doc and compeer our answer with our group. Here is my slide.😎

I find these stories easy to read but the questions are difficult and I fin it really interesting.
