Why did I choose this bird?

I chose this bird because it represents my personality. It’s loyal and enthusiastic, it also hates conflict.

Doves are afraid of predators and large animals

a bird is exactly as smart as it needs to be. Because these doves are so prolific, they really have no reason to alter their behavior.

A group of Doves is called a ‘Bevy’ and some other names too.

Summary

Firstly, the dove is a very loyal Enthusiastic bird. Secondly, they are afraid of predators and other larger animals. And lastly, they are a symbol of love and peace and they hate conflict.

 

Endangered/Extinct animals

On Wednesday for literacy we had to chose a extinct animal to do this file fact thing on. I chose the Ground sloth because they sounded really cool and interesting. here's my file fact:


I found this animal really interesting and i wish it was still alive. i found it quite hard to find the info though, because is extinct, (no doy).

Music literacy!!!

for literacy this week we have been looking at music. On Monday we had to make a slide with instruments from a orchestra, hers mine:

I found the first activity a bit boring but also interesting finding out about lots of instrument and I found the song activity extremely fun. I loved playing around with all the sounds and beats.

myths and legends animation

WALT: create an animation to do with part if a Maori story
for literacy we had to create an animation do with a Maori story, so I picked Maui and the sun because that's a story i know pretty well. here's my slide( to play put it in full screen, then hold down the right arrow)



I found it quite hard to find all the pngs and stuff so that's why it looks sorta weird but yeah.

food Literacy!!!

For literacy on Tuesday, we had to make posters about a food from Japan. We had to do it from Japan because they are the country we picked from the rugby world cup. I picked rice because its really big in Japan. We had to include some facts about it on the poster. here is mine:

I think i did pretty good with setting it out and stuff but I probably should of put a bit more info, but i didnt really have time.

Circumference and Diameter stuff!

WALT: investigate the pattern between a circular object's circumference and its diameter.
For maths we have been learning about Circumference and Diameter! what we did was, we wrapped string around a circular object then measured the length of string to find the circumference. then we stretched the string from one edge to another to find the diameter. We continued this for a variety of objects and recorded them on a Google Sheet. then we had to calculate the circumference divided by the diameter. the answer should add up to 3.14... ,or something close to that, that is pi.

I was away for the first season so I was very confused at the start but by the end i was really getting and enjoying do it. I think I could maybe measured some bigger objects but I think I did okay.
what could i do better next time? did you learn anything? If you did this would you find it interesting?
